Field work in Madeira in collaboration with the Madeira Whale Museum, Vanishing Point Ltd, and the University of St Andrews to field test the next prototype of the autonomous drifting hydrophone. We managed to record a group of the sperm whales and the cleanest recording of a Blainville’s beaked whale ever (apparently)! Pilot whales also popped by to check out the boat.
